Environmental education
Tietê Agroindustrial understands that education is one of the main instruments for the sustainable development of the country. With this perspective, the environmental department is dedicated to formulating, implementing, supporting and disseminating methodologies and projects aimed at improving the environment. Tietê Agroindustrial develops every year, during Environment Week and in celebration of Tree Day, environmental education activities with children from schools in the region, holding lectures and activities such as planting native trees and ecological trails. The Plantando o Futuro Project is developed by Tietê Agroindustrial in compliance with its internal policies, whose premises establish growth based on economic, social and environmental sustainability.
Preservation of Biodiversity
Tietê Agroindustrial monitors biodiversity in areas of influence of the plant. Monitoring consists of quantifying and qualifying the fauna and flora in their areas, with the aim of assessing the quality of biodiversity, thus contributing to the preservation of the environment for future generations.
Legal Reserve
Legal Reserve is the area located inside a property or rural possession, except for the permanent preservation area (APP), representative of the natural environment of the region and necessary for the sustainable use of natural resources, conservation and rehabilitation of ecological processes, conservation biodiversity and the shelter and protection of native fauna and flora. It must be equivalent to at least 20% (twenty percent) of the total area of the property. Its implementation must reconcile the conservation of natural resources and the economic use of the property.
