Mutual Aid Plan (MAP)

The Tietê Agroindustrial company is part of two regions of the Mutual Aid Plan (MAP), namely the MAP of the Lins region and the MAP of the Catanduva/José Bonifácio region. Together with sugar mills and associations of sugarcane suppliers in the region, the MAP aims to organize joint efforts to reduce fires in rural areas through preventive actions and the development of strategies for fire prevention and control. Its focus is on preserving vulnerable rural areas from fires, acting preventively to protect forest remnants and Permanent Preservation Areas (APP), as well as reducing greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) resulting from these fires.

Tietê provides the MAP with instruments to record fire outbreaks, such as long-range cameras installed in industrial plants that assist in the rapid identification of fire outbreaks in the surroundings; daily ground patrols in all areas influenced by the company; strategic observation points with monitoring teams, and also contributes to combat occurrences with firefighting employees and water tanker trucks.
